About the Mobimeo Engineering Team

We are a growing engineering team of 50+ developing technology to solve major urban mobility challenges. From Routing and Navigation, Ticketing, to applying Machine-Learning and Data Analysis - we are on a mission to change the way people move around our cities, offer them alternatives and help them leave their car at home.

Our technology stack is versatile and we try to choose the right tools for the right jobs. This includes docker containers, codified by Terraform in the AWS cloud for backend services; native apps in Swift and Kotlin, as well as React for internal tooling/experimentation; modern data collection and analysis; fantastically functional design; agile testing with BDD; all delivered as continuously as possible.

About You

Team leads at Mobimeo are accountable for their people, processes, and product. We’re looking for an iOS or Android engineer who chose the manager’s path and enjoys building great teams, great mobile apps and services, and only as much process as necessary. Our cross functional teams include engineers in Android, iOS, backend, and QA disciplines. You’ll peer with a product owner who is accountable for product viability and desirability to create meaningful OKRs. You’ll use agile methodologies to coach your team to inspect and adapt as you release products to our customers. You’ll work with the CTO and Head of Engineering to create and deliver cross-company goals. Together we’ll reduce the friction of using transit.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering in the cross-functional Companion team

  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams and establish efficient agile processes

  • Grow the people in your team and establish a well rounded feedback-cycle and reporting-lines  

  • Develop and execute mid & long-term technical vision together with the Head of Engineering & CTO and contribute to the overall architecture

  • Work in close collaboration with the product lead  of your team, define roadmaps and facilitate technical decisions

Your Profile
  • Experience in leading engineering groups of 4-10 engineers 

  • Effective people manager who likes to remain close to code and architecture

  • Extensive experience building iOS or Android applications in Swift or Kotlin

  • Experience in releasing mobile Apps to the market following a Continuous Delivery approach

  • Agile practitioner, ability to apply agile principles to fit the needs of the organization and coach the team
